“We always knew of each other,” Savannah said. “We went to different schools and then he finally asked me out one day. We dated for 9 months and then he proposed.”
Their families have been in the Port Orange area for 6 generations and so it only seemed right for them to get married right where their roots were planted. “It was so special to get married on his family property in the barn that his great grandfather had built years before.”
Families are like branches on a tree. We grow in different directions. Yet our roots remain the same.
They spent the next 10 months building, crafting and working together with their families on the farm to turn a regular old barn into an elegant & whimsical wedding venue.
“My one grandfather who I call my “Pinterest Poppy” made the barn doors, signs and tables. My other grandfather married us. It was so special to have not only my dad in the wedding but both of my grandfathers a part of it too.”

Meet Samantha and Mike. We were pleasantly shocked when they decided to take the unconventional approach to the typical engagement photos and chose to spend the afternoon at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum – dressed in their favorite goodwill and jcpenny finds!
We spent the day laughing together as we captured their goofy personalities and these ‘awkward’ engagement photos… that turned out to be nothing short of EPIC!
]]>From Jen & Ryan’s engagement session, to their backyard Ormond Beach wedding, to their first born in home lifestyle newborn session… we were so thankful to be there for it all. Check out this precious family! We love you guys! -Meagan

Megan & Roby spent their Sunday mornings in Winter Park, Florida at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church and would spend their afternoons strolling the streets of Winter Park. When it came to choosing a wedding and reception venue – this was a no brainer for them.
Seeing each other for the first time at the alter, sharing their first dance to “You and Me” by Dave Matthews Band at their reception, being first in line for a bowl of their favorite ice cream from Kelly’s Ice Cream Truck and running through a sea of sparklers before walking back to the hotel together hand in hand reminiscing on their wedding day, would soon become some of their favorite memories.
We are thankful to have spent the day with Megan and Roby and honored to photograph their love!

The more detailed you can make the plan, the better… and lets be honest, practically all other wedding planning will rely on this timeline. So lets get it out of the way now!
After photographing hundreds of weddings, we’ve learned the importance of helping our couples develop their wedding day timeline keeping in mind the best lighting for photos & providing our couples with a ton of time with their friends, family and guests. Everyone is there to party with you, not to see you swept away for hours of wedding photography and videography. So… lets do this!
Things To Consider:
Use the following sample wedding day timeline as a guide to create your own!

Rob and Chaney met in Lexington, Kentucky where they both had spent a great bit of their lives before moving to Atlanta, Georgia together in 2016.
Lexington had been “home” for so long, it was an extremely tough decision for us to move. We decided it would be best for our family and careers to take the plunge and move to Atlanta. Rob proposed a few months later (November 5, 2016) in Piedmont Park at sunrise, on my late Grandmothers birthday.
For us, it was never a question as to ‘if’ we would get married in Lexington, KY, it was just ‘where?’. Rob was pretty adamant that we not have a country club wedding, it just didn’t feel like “us”. So, we searched for an unconventional reception space that could hold both us and Rob’s massive family, and wasn’t saturated with wedding receptions. Through multiple connections we found ourselves at Kroger Field and we knew it was our spot. Rob and I both went to Kentucky, and having our reception at a football stadium in a room sponsored by Woodford Reserve is about as happy as I could make Rob Riddell!
